Your Gift Can Support:
The Triumph Fund opens the doors of opportunity to every young man or woman who dreams of becoming a Falcon or Longhorn. Currently, over 70% of students receive some form of financial tuition assistance and we expect that number will increase for the 2020-2021 school year. The Triumph Fund, our tuition assistance program, provides valuable financial support for these students. Without this program, many families could not afford the high-quality Christian education we offer each day at Lutheran East and Lutheran West.
The Annual Fund is the Association’s yearly program that seeks unrestricted gifts to support ongoing needs at both schools.
Unrestricted gifts are vitally important because they provide long-term strength and stability. Those gifts allow leadership to address high priority needs, respond to unforeseen situations, and invest in high potential areas for institutional advancement.
The Cleveland Lutheran Educational Endowment Fund, commonly referred to as CLEEF, was established in 1985 with a mission to further the educational program of the CLHSA, largely through annual endowment distributions to the schools’ operating budgets. Since inception, CLEEF has provided over six million dollars in additional income necessary to meet the day-to-day costs associated with running our two schools. Furthermore, CLEEF’s generosity includes an annual distribution of scholarships awarded to recipients based on a student submission and thorough review by the board. To date, the CLEEF board has awarded $320,000 in tuition assistance to deserving students.
The Cleveland Lutheran High School Association is fortunate to have dedicated benefactors supporting its mission, including many who have chosen to secure its future through legacy gifts. In the future, those planned gifts will play a critical role in the growth of our two Lutheran high schools, serving the needs of the hundreds of students who rely on scholarship and financial aid to fund their education. To express our appreciation for this committed group of donors who have remembered the CLHSA in their estate plans, we established the Legacy Society. Members of the Legacy Society are motivated by the CLHSA’s mission in hopes of keeping Christ-centered education a reality for the next generation of talented students.
