Triumph Fund Members Tour Progressive Field
On Monday, July 15, Triumph Fund Sustaining Members were treated to a tour of Cleveland's Progressive Field followed by a group lunch at the Hofbrauhaus.

Group-At-ProgressiveGuests met at Lutheran East or Lutheran West, where they boarded a downtown-bound bus along with CLHSA staff members. Upon reaching Progressive Field, the group took a comprehensive guided tour of the ballpark. Highlights of the tour included the press box, TV/radio station broadcasting rooms, the home dugout, and the batting cages. Several group members also spotted Terry Francona arriving to work on his moped!

The group was then transported to the Hofbrauhaus, where they ate a German lunch of soft pretzels with beer cheese, pierogies with kielbasa, and German chocolate cake.

All giving to the CLHSA directed to tuition assistance is considered Triumph Fund giving. When a donor makes an annual giving commitment of  $500 or more, he or she is considered a Triumph Fund Sustaining Member. Sustaining membership includes perks such as tickets Dugoutto selected events at each high school (athletics, arts), an invitation to the CLHSA Christmas brunch, and member appreciation events like Monday's.

New CLHSA Superintendent & CEO Chris Steinmann LW'00 spoke to attendees about the exciting news regarding the successful purchase of a property immediately adjacent to Lutheran West. The Westgate Professional Building and its 2.31 acres were just acquired by the CLHSA for future use. Mr. Steinmann said that while the plans for the building and land are yet undetermined, there are a multitude of possibilities. Because the current property of Lutheran West and the CLHSA are surrounded on all sides by Westgate Shopping Center, established residential neighborhoods, and Bohlken Park, this was perhaps the only opportunity in the foreseeable future for the CLHSA to increase its footprint in Rocky River/Fairview Park.

Lunch-GroupAshley Koza, Director of Development, also spoke to guests and expressed her appreciation of their consistent commitment to tuition assistance, without which many families would be unable to make private Christian education a reality for their student(s).
