Lutheran High School: The 'Downtown School'
From 1948 through 1958, students attended the original Lutheran High School located downtown Cleveland on Prospect Avenue. In 1956, word came from the State of Ohio that the government would be seizing the downtown property through its right of eminent domain in order to build the Innerbelt Freeway.
